Every day is Earth Day! You can start taking action with us TODAY, even from your own homes. Here's how:

🌍PLANTING TREES:
Climate change and a continuing loss of biodiversityis a critical challenge in The Gambia, with many plantand tree species facing extinction. Help us to rebuild the Great Green Wall by saving the seeds each time you eat fruit! You can plant, protect and nurturethem inside used milk and juice cartons.

🌍COMPOSTING:
Compost helps crops to grow, and the soil to hold water. Make yours by creating a heap of your vegetable peelings mixed with dried leaves and straw. Keep it moist, and stir the heap every now and again to add air. In The Gambia, compost will be readyto add to top soil in roughly two months.

🌍CLEAN-UP: REDUCE & REUSE:
Recycling your waste can be very useful, as well as reducing harm to the environment. Before any of your waste plastics, metals or paper end up on the streets or in landfill, show us how your family are taking part in a community clean-up, and any useful or creative second uses you find for waste products.
