Hippo killed in Janjanbureh
Green-Up Gambia wishes to condemn this killing in the strongest possible terms.
“Our wildlife's are threatened in their natural habitat by so-called hunters. Two days ago a local hunter shot a hippo on the river bank of Janjanbureh and after a day it was discovered dead at Deen Kunda, near Mana village. This can be dangerous to local people crossing the river, as well as our local fishermen. We will challenge those that engage in this activity to desist from such act - our wildlife must be protected!”
